The Lady Cougars crushed the Troy Colts on Oct. 17 in a best of five sets game of Volleyball.

They started off hot, smashing the Colts 25-17 in the very first set.

The Colts barely pulled away in the second set with a score of 23-25.

The Cougars rallied in the third and fourth set to beat the Colts 25-21 and 25-17 respectively. They finished their fourth set with 8 straight points.

Senior Morgan Darin led in scoring for the Cougars, but she a lot of help from sophomore Samantha Sattman, sophomore Gabrielle Cuckovich, and sophomore Alexa Tomlak with a combined 57 digs (passes.)  Darin, Sattman, and junior Skylar Garrett had a combined 34 kills (points.)

Senior Sophia LeClair exclaimed that she “is very proud of her team,” and “to be in the red division this year.”

After being moved up a division they must compete with top teams in the state such as Clarkston and Lake Orion, but they are still holding a strong 5-3-1 record.

“We won because we wanted it more, you can see it in the way that we played that night and will continue to play the rest of the season,” senior Megan Feeley said.
