Hunters will enjoy Michigan’s first wolf hunting season after the Natural Resource Commission went through with the hunt, offering wolf hunting licenses for the first time.

Within hours of going on sale, most of the licenses were bought out. Junior Jon Dilorenzo won his in a raffle.

“This is my first time hunting wolves,” Dilorenzo.said. “I haven’t gone to get a wolf yet, but I will be going hunting for one in two weeks.”

Dilorenzo has experience from hunting other animals, such as deer, foxes, coyotes, and many other small game.

The sale ran until Oct. 31, but then all sales halted.

“I’ve hunted similar game, like coyotes , but this is a first for me,” Dilorenzo said.
