In the beginning of November, Advanced Photography students received an assignment in which they were to recreate iconic photos.

An iconic photo is associated with the iconic figure of the photograph, according to arts teacher Diane Heath.

“They had to find some iconic photograph and then recreate it using themselves or their friends as models,” Heath said.

Students could add effects and props to accomplish the replication. Photos of Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Waldo (Wally for those outside of North America), Bruce Springsteen and Clarence Clemons, and Elvis Presley were subjects of the students’ recreations.

“Oh my gosh, that’s like saying ‘which child is your favorite?’ You’re not allowed to say,” Heath said when asked which photograph was her favorite. “They’re all uniquely different.”

Some of the recreations are located in the showcase outside of room E145 for any and all to admire.
