The Cross Country Varsity boys have taken home the “League Winners” title this year.

They competed against seven other schools. This was their first time winning leagues since 2010.

Runners Eric Boyle, Chris Dibble, Jon DiLorenzo, Joey Dipanni, Adam Freer, Andrew Lajoie, Alex Landuyt, Casey Neal, Brandon Siewert, Jacob Whitlow and Jacob Bozeman won all three league meets.

“We’re  trying to beat Bloomfield Hills High School, or the guys in purple shorts.” Varsity runner Jacob Bozeman said.

Bloomfield Hills was the main competition in their league.

The league meets were held at Royal Oak High School, Bloomer Park, and Oakland University on Oct. 18, which is where the boys were given their medals.

“We worked hard– the other teams were more individualized,”  Varsity runner Casey Neal said. “While we were more like a team.”
