General Motors representatives visited the AP studio art students on Feb. 14 to review the students’ portfolios. The students of this class had the chance to talk to professionals and receive constructive criticism for their works.

Senior Sam Bertin is very happy about the nice comments he received.

“People love seeing sketch books,” Bertin said. “I think the [skate] boards were the most recognized because they are in that big showcase.”

According to Bertin, it was a great learning experience that not only allowed him to improve his work in the future but to make contact with the professional world.

“It allowed me to learn from professionals and also make connections,” Bertin said. “Networking is key.”
